Charlees is the 61st greater one-horned rhino born here since 1975, making the Park the foremost breeding facility in the world for this species. We’re also the first facility in the Western Hemisphere to have a successfully reproducing group of third & fourth-generation rhinos of this species.

Blue skies came just in time for our 2-month-old greater one-horned rhino calf at the Safari Park, Charlees, to enjoy her first day on exhibit.

Fun fact: An elephant’s trunk has more than 40,000 muscles in it. That’s more than a person has in his or her whole body.
